Applications are currently being accepted from qualified individuals and families for 43 brand new townhouse apartments in the private wooded setting of Charlestown and Richmond, RI. 



The forty-three (43) units include three (3) 1BR’s, sixteen (16) 2BR’s, and twenty-four (24) 3BR’s, and is conceived of as affordable rental housing for working families. The development will also have a community-building, maintenance garage, and an on-site management office



Affordable townhouse style apartments in a peaceful rural setting located in the high-performing Chariho School District. A short drive to some of Rhode Islands best beaches and outdoor recreation areas. Located 1/4 mile from Historic Shannock Village off of South County Trail (Route 2). 5 miles to downtown Richmond and Charlestown and 7 miles to URI. Short drive to area beaches. Shannock Falls is an excellent mix of a tranquil, rural atmosphere with all of the conveniences of shopping, dining and entertainment within reach. 



The Richmond site, known as Richmond Ridge, will consist of 32 rental units on an 8.32-acre parcel that will be carved out of an existing 64-acre parcel. The remaining 55.7 acres will be subject to a conservation easement restricting all development activities in perpetuity. 



The Charlestown site, known as Shannock Village Cottages, will consist of 11 rental units on a 4.73-acre parcel. The property is largely undeveloped with the exception of one existing single-family historic house. This building will be renovated to create two (2) of the eleven (11) affordable rental units on the site while maintaining as much of the historic character and detail as possible.

Theses units are regulated under the LIHTC federal housing program.



You may apply at our office or mail in the attached forms with picture ID and your last four paystubs. We can notarize forms at our office and assist with filling out all forms. Call to make an appointment. We are open 7:30 am until 6:00 pm most days.



You will not be considered without filling out all attached forms, (signature must be notarized) and including the picture ID of all persons over 18 on the application.
